In wood shop, my 7th grade students are learning about the environmental impact that our school鈥檚 projects have had in the past. In an effort to address this, they have been putting together projects from scrap wood left over from past projects. In this project in particular, students are using broken steel stools that are missing seat cushions or leg rests, to make community benches. Supplies like the Dremel and wood burning tools will allow students to create beautiful, high quality, and long lasting work to live permanently in their middle school.
