I believe that having access to quality math resources like these pegboards and geoboards, and engaging activities is a great way to assist in meeting those needs. Teaching 21st century STEM skills helps learners be prepared to work in an ever-changing world and meet their individual academic needs. Also, the flexible seating will allow them space to work comfortably and individually. In 2019, the last time students took spring assessments, 31.9% overall were proficient in math, compared to 22.1% in 2021. There was a nine-percentage-point drop in proficiency in ELA, declining from 33.4% in 2019 to 24.8% in 2021. In 2019, 34.5% of students tested proficient in science compared to 29.7% in 2021. These resources will help us engage our students and help to get back on track.
