As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic and students being both virtual and in-person throughout the school year, the Pandemic has limited hands-on learning experiences. I am asking for six folding greenhouses and supplies and equipment. The materials would support hands-on learning and understanding of our fifth-grade science objectives for our current students as well as generations to come.
The classroom can come alive with learning and enjoyment as the students learn how to grow and care for beautiful plants that taste great when consumed. They learn the joy of hard work as they watch their plants grow a little every day.
Students will learn gardening basics, and how commonly consumed vegetables like radishes, tomatoes and carrots successfully grow when cared for properly. They will learn the basics of gardening and growing and document their experiments. Students will learn what environments plants thrive best in or what fertilizers work better than others.
