The requested resources, Scholastic Storyworks, Scholastic News and Scholastic Science Spin, will directly help my students advance academically because it will provide them with a new and fun way to practice reading skills. The Scholastic Storyworks will be a fun and engaging resource to develop fundamental reading skills. The Scholastic News helps relate reading skills to current events and also utilizes a lot of nonfiction skills like reading maps and charts. The Scholastic Science Spins will bring new light to learning the scientific method and other fun science topics with lots of great visuals that students are able to hold in their hands, not just see on their screens.
To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use a class set of the Scholastic Storyworks, Scholastic News, and Scholastic Science Spins. Along with print versions that we can use in class, there are digital components as well that we can use for distance learning if needed.
