My students face challenges daily with their exceptionalities as they navigate their way through school. Noise-reducing, over-the-ear headphones with a microphone can help all of my kids. Some students who struggle with typing and writing can use the microphone to talk out their answers and show what they learned! Others can focus better on their audio books, even when the P.E. class outside is playing "Baby Shark". When they go to their regular education classes, they don't always have headphones, so small earbuds are needed as well.
We would love to add more items to our treasure box; students get rewarded for meeting their academic and behavioral goals. Small, inexpensive rewards mean a lot to my kids!
There is also a need for a small paper shredder - to be kept SAFELY away from the students - for sensitive documents that are no longer needed.
