In light of recent global events, many of my students have suffered gaps in their learning, that as a teacher, I am desperately trying to close. I know how important it is to create strong readers before they leave my classroom so they one day become strong leaders in our community. One way I am combatting learning gaps is by creating hands-on science of reading based whole group and small group lessons. To provide those for my students, I have found that we require supplies to make this easier.
My students need access to multi-sensory lessons to help them become strong readers that will help them build the confidence they need to become better readers and future leaders. The items I have chosen will be used in both whole group and small group settings to help my students focus on needed reading skills to become strong readers. I have seen the damage that can be done to a child who struggles to learn to read, and I want to make every effort to address all learning styles within my classroom so that every student has the best chance to be successful.
