The iPad will allow me to be more versatile in my teaching with my approach to grading, interactive content and apps, daily note taking, jotting down moments of genuine connection with my students, as well as stronger integration with Canvas and a more meaningful virtual presence. This will assure that I am on top of my game as a teacher in a post-pandemic world.
Learning a language is evermore virutal. In fact, we just finished a unit in my AP Spanish class where we discussed the metaverse in depth. These virtual reality glasses will help the content COME ALIVE as we engage via stations with the language learning applications in the virtual world. This will provide opportunities to my students to travel to new places and interact in novel ways with people while never having to step out of the classroom. This is going to be amazing! Plus, I have already coordinated with the folks in my department to also purchase VR glasses to complete a 'station' for VR lessons in class. This is the future!
