In biology, we need to be able to visualize our natural world. As good as our eyes are at viewing objects in our human scale, there are simply objects and organisms too small or too far away to properly visualize without extra tools. To compensate for this lack of extreme eyesight, my students need access to binoculars and microscopes to properly view our natural communities.
These tools will allow our students to better explore the natural world, and hopefully, create a lasting love for our natural communities and the organisms that shape them. With proper funding of these materials, my students will use these tools to ask interesting questions about wildlife, micro-organisms, and everything in between.
