This project gives me a variety of resources to support students in many different areas. So many of my students need numerous repetitions and intensive practice in academic and social areas. Having as many ways as possible to teach and reinforce the skills they need to learn is critical to helping them stay engaged and not give up. There is something for each one of my students here, no matter what area(s) they need help with. I hope that having these additional activities will help keep my student excited about learning, even when it is difficult for them. Reading: I will have additional lesson plans, activities, and resources for letter names and sounds, phonemic awareness, and phonics. Writing: I will have additional lesson plans, activities, and resources to work through writing a complete sentence with the "who", "what", "where", and "when" in a good sentence. Math: I will have additional lesson plans, activities, and resources for learning to rote count, number names, one-to-one correspondence, and number sense. O.T./P.T.: I will have additional lesson plans, activities, and resources for fine and gross motor development. Social Skills: I will have additional lesson plans, activities, and resources for recognizing and working through emotions in appropriate and healthy ways.
