There is so many amazing resources to help students catch up, fill gaps and improve on the Chromebook. My biggest struggle is headsets! My students use cheap headsets that don't last, parents don't have the money to replace. The school has limited funds and will only replace them a couple of times. Therefore my students are trying to turn down the sound so they can barely hear what is being said! This will help my students improve in their phonics, math, reading, social studies, and science! That is all subjects! This will make a difference to everykid this year and for years to come.
Covid has been especially hard on my class this year. I have over one third of my class behind in math and reading. My students that are struggling in reading and math are given extra specific lessons on Seesaw and I-Ready to help them catch up. Headphones will make a huge difference. These same students need to be able to read to someone. With the microphone on the headphone I can use the Seesaw program to have students record themselves reading to me while I am working with other students in the room! Technology is amazing. Please consider helping my students get a leg up in their education! Thanks!
