The resources I requested directly will impact social and emotional learning by providing students the opportunities to practice social and emotional competencies by practicing skills related to emotional regulation, noticing sensations in the body, problem-solving skills, communication and relationship building skills. These tools enhance emotional well-being and creating a safe and healthy environment for children to experience and manage their stress through learned practices utilizing these tools provided.
Social and emotional learning tools are the gateway for accessing academic learning as well as life skills to provide education for the whole person for their whole life. By providing scaffolded support, training, reinforcing these social and emotional skills, the students can better cope with the stress related to not only school, but also family, the pandemic, and everything else that is effected. It is an honor and privledge to support the most vulnerable and at risk through therapy as well as a preventative approach to well-being.
