During the pandemic, many young students stayed home with their families and skipped preschool. This has left my students vastly unprepared for Kindergarten, from counting to writing to sharing to team work skills, they are behind. These activities will allow my students to build fine motor, communication, team work, creativity, literacy, and critical thinking skills.
All students, regardless of their social status, deserve a high quality and developmentally appropriate Kindergarten experience. I will use these materials in my classroom to enhance teacher lead small groups and student lead activities. As children work together on learning to count, build, and read they will be more prepared for their educational futures.
