Due to COVID restrictions, a third of my first graders never got to attend Kindergarten. Because of this, many of them are greatly lacking social, emotional, and academic development. I do believe that offering them the correct tools to teach them will help the future citizens of America grow to be the leaders we need.
If we don't help our students now with the most important skill they will need for their lives- reading, they will inevitably struggle in all areas of learning for the coming years.
I really need help in getting the wonderful, age-appropriate, multi-purpose reading and writing materials (Primary Composition Notebooks, Magnetic Wands and chips for literacy, magnetic whiteboards, dry-erase markers, and headphones for their iPads -for the classroom and for remote learning). These materials will help me guide my students to be successful in reading and writing. They will be a vital and fun tool and will also allow my big goal of delivering Personalized Competency-Based Learning to my students at school and at home.
