I have been working on building a cozy corner that would really encourage the students to take those moments that they need throughout the day, to relax and unwind, in an area that is cozy and fun to hang out in.
Our students have different social emotional, sensory, and tactile needs. Considering and addressing the needs of each individual child is always a priority. Some students can sit and focus throughout the day in all academic and social situations. However, we also have children that may need the little breaks and that little bit of fluff and softness that can calm and sooth them during a challenging day or moment. A child may need the sensory feel of a soft bean bag rather than a hard chair or floor. These additions to our classroom will support these diverse needs.
