Our students are suffering through cold mornings walking to school and waiting outside to confirm negative COVID-19 status. By the time they get to classrooms, they are uncomfortable. Often, they are more concerned about getting their hands warm than engaging in content. They also are keeping their hands in their pockets rather than writing or keyboarding. I brought a few handwarmers to school, and they were an instant hit. Some students even asked their teachers for permission to come to my classroom to see if I had any left. The demand is great!
