Learning physics without the physical is difficult. Grasping the concepts of physics by only reading text is a disservice to my students. I'm hoping to fund this project so students get a better understanding of science with hands-on and live projects/experiences. This project will help me create a more exciting classroom with the tools needed for students to have fun learning science! We will look into creating tons of fun projects that are hands-on so they can feel what they're learning. These materials will be used to create a hands-on classroom In the 8th grade unit where they learn about biology and physics. Half of the year they learn about adaptation, cells, DNA, and chromosomes. The other half of the year they learn about electromagnetism and gravity. We focus on how engines work and alternative energy. We hope this will create a much more engaging classroom for my students where they come excited and ready to learn.
