RFHS is re-starting an outdoor sports class for students grades 9-12. The class will emphasize outdoor skills and activities not typically part of high school physical education class. Activities will include orienteering, cross country skiing, archery, knots, and fly fishing.
This outdoors sports class will serve an eclectic group of students who often struggle to find their niche. The class includes many students who do not participate in traditional school sports, are racially, economically, and academically diverse, and who may not have access to equipment or mentors in these outdoor activities.
