My students love listening to stories and are very eager to learn how to read. This project will really make their reading experience more enjoyable.
My students will be so excited to get their hands on a variety of stories that will build their reading fluency skills and expose them to non-fiction material.
Not only will the materials excite my students but they will help my students show mastery in many standards such as, but not limited to-
RL.K.3- Students will be able to identify key details in a text, retell familiar stories and identify story elements.
RL.K.5- Students will be able to recognize common types of texts (e.g., storybooks, poems)
RL.K.6- Students will be able to name the author and illustrator of a story and define the role of each in telling the story.
RI.K.3 Students will be able to describe the connection between two individuals, events, ideas, or pieces of information in a text.
