Inspired by how technology has helped us through COVID, I have started working on a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. I am implementing what I am learning as I am completing my courses. Technology is currently being used with rigor in my classroom to help me meet the varying needs of my learners and to help me teach more efficiently and effectively. Multiple online programs are also being used to help my 3rd Graders become more digitially literate, a necessary skill in today's educational climate.
Right now, I deliver a good portion of my instruction in every subject on computers. I have provided at least 2 sets of economy headphones to every student so far this year; they just have not held up. I would like to upgrade to more durable headphones that also have microphones, as we would like to begin showing what we are learning by creating slideshow presentations with narration. I also have students who are unable to spell or type, and there are voice- to-text features that we would like to use to help those who need accommodations.
These headsets would be an amazing asset to our classroom not only this year, but for years to come!
