Our school district is a Priority School District. It is located in a economically disadvantaged community have a very diverse group of students, racially, economically, and ability. 1/3 of my class comes from low income families. 1/4 of my students have special needs while the other 1/4 is performing above expectation. They are all wonderful! Their unique backgrounds offer a flavor to our class that makes us unique. We all learn from each others differences, while recognizing our similarities. I learn as much from them as they do from me. They are fun, loving caring and kind. They look out for one another. Our classroom is a family.
