I have amazing students who, to be honest, are obedient to a fault. I want them to not only make informed life decisions, but to also feel more aware of possible realities of the decisions that they make, and how to think a few steps ahead.
What I hope to accomplish here is a break from the ordinary, where the elements of chess become a metaphor for our big picture life decisions.
We will turn this game into a life skill, while also finding ways to use the "moves" as a means of anticipating the decisions and consequences of the characters we are studying.
