Need to be closer to the board and anchor chart? The floor will be for more than feet. Floor desks will enable students to gain the necessary feeling of freedom! 3rd graders strive on freedom and not being chained to a desk.
Small groups on the go! Floor chairs can go wherever and still allow students to write, work on their computers and participate with tactile activities. Kids need to move and feel free. With the desk chairs, students can work in partners, small groups and complete independent activities from anywhere in the room. Students wont have to write on the floor, or bend all the way over to type on their computers. This will allow for better posture, more blood flow to the brain. Some students are not physically able to write/type directly on the floor and this will allow them to be in a seated position and more comfortable. Comfort=Learning
It will allow for proper social distancing and give students a much needed feeling of freedom during appropriate times of the day. Having the ability to move around the room allows students to see things from a new perspective, literally.
