Having a half moon table would mean having a more appropriate table for individualized, small group instruction. It would be a smaller space for students to feel safe putting themselves out there and potentially making mistakes in the process. It would be a place for students to learn and grow as mathmaticians, readers, artists, and classmates. Having a developmentally appropriate table would help me in the classroom by giving me a small space to collect and track data during math, reading, and writing small groups. The table would give me a closer space to cheer students on and watch as they cheer each other on too! The students in my class range in abilities and this is the perfect table to help me close the gap!
