Reading has been proven to help students become better writers, and that is the goal of my class: to have good readers and writers. Outside reading is a major focus in English I, and allowing students choice in what they read is vital to get them started. Reading on their own not only benefits them in English but also other subject areas. If you would like to donate towards my classroom's library, my students and I would be extremely grateful!
