COVID has had a huge impact on students' well-being, physically, emotionally, and socially. Students have not had a chance to socialize with their peers in fun, engaging, and interactive ways. The literature included in this project will be a resource to support not only standards R.L.3.1, R.I.3.1, R.L.3.10, and R.I.3.10 which supports positive reading habits such as asking and answering questions, but it will also help facilitate and navigate many of the unknown feelings students may be experiencing during the post-pandemic phase. The literature selected, along with book bins to store and organize the text for easy access to students, will create a safe space to engage in restorative circles for students' discussions. A bluetooth speaker will allow us to play calming and soothing music while students discuss the texts and connect back to their social and emotional well-being. The number bond paddles will support 3.OA.B. as students can interact with number sense activities and build a stronger understanding of part-part-whole relationships. During the COVID pandemic, students were in need of appropriate manipulatives and tools to deepen their math understanding. Therefore, these interactive math boards will help support this knowledge.
