The sensory bin will serve as an educational hands on activity during our daily center time. It will serve as a fun way to match capital and lower case letters, read and write sight words, read and write CVC words, add and subtract numbers, compare numbers, explore the 5 senses, compare and contrast objects, review and write vocabulary words, and teach many other content areas.
Kinder students require learning opportunities that are interactive and collaborative in design. The sensory bin is an exciting and explorative activity that students will associate with play but in actuality they will be practicing and reviewing ELA, Science, and Math content standards. Students will realize that learning can be fun and appeal to many of their senses.
