I want my students to be able to experience with hands-on activities the world through math.
I want them able to model, manipulate and create math so they can understand better the world around them and build basic skills.
I am excited to use the geometrical shapes to learn about surface area and volume and figures (HSG.CO.12), the play-dough to model formulas and problems (HSG.CO.2), the fraction materials to understand what they represent, the minerals and natural items to explore with gentle materials and represent quantities (HSG.MG.3 ), LEGOs to represent line segments and model postulates(HSG.CO.1).
