My students will enjoy flexible seating in our classroom. I have quite a few fidgeters that would do well sitting in something other than their regular seats. Students work cooperatively toward NVACS/ College and Career Readiness each and every day.
After a year and a half online through the pandemic, my students enjoy working in-person on writing and using different colors to color code their work and using FriXion erasable pens helps them fix their errors. (College and Career Readiness Anchor Standards for Writing: K-5 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine and convey complex ideas and information clearly and accurately through the effective selection, organization, and analysis of content.)
I have noticed that when my students have colorful assignments, they tend to be interested and enthusiastic. I also use colorful paper for their printouts for our math journals.
Our amazing school is lucky to have enough students who come from so many backgrounds, I have also included holiday decorations so that my students feel included and represented during the holiday season. During ELA time we do go over and learn about different holidays that are celebrated and seeing the different decorations can help my visual learners.
