These materials will give all students, regardless of socioeconomic status, the opportunity to learn and play games that they may not ever get to do outside of school. From foursquare to kickball to ultimate frisbee to frisbee golf to cornhole, this equipment will provide many active opportunities for students to stay active and healthy while still having fun. Students will have the opportunity to learn and play new games as well as go back to their elementary days and play some classic playground games.
Staying physically active helps promote blood flow and memory, stimulating positive chemicals to enhance learning, thinking, and positive mood as they move from P.E. to the classroom. These materials will not only make a difference in our students P.E. class but will also help promote learning and positive behaviors in the classroom as well and hopefully stimulate a love for a new game that they will continue to play once they go home, creating a lifetime love of physical activity and health.
