With these language activities and amplification sets, my students will improve in their language, communication and social skills (NACS SL K.1, SL 1.1, SL 2.1, SL 3.1). They are always ready to learn with a variety of materials. The students use the amplification sets to hear their own voices or a partner's voice which increases their focus auditorily. I call them "magic headphones." I would like to use a personal amplifier to direct teach using vocabulary cards, sequencing cards, family flip cards and emotions cards. Students are rewarded with a few minutes at which time they use puzzles and memory games. Students are also encouraged to write/draw/talk about their emotions using the emotions writing prompts and echo (play) microphones. Students are given lists of words to practice at home which are placed in Oxford fastener folders. Nearly every one of my kids is given a homework folder at the beginning of the school year (which is always buy with my own money) and often they lose them or wear them out and need replacing.
These materials will give my students the opportunity to enrich their language and to increase their confidence in being better communicators as well as improving their responsibility skills.
My students will have the opportunity to practice their communication skills such as expressing their emotions and pronouncing words correctly while enhancing their language skills. They suffered from a significant language loss due to the shutdown of in-person education as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
