All the items I am requesting for this project are tools that are designed to help my resource special education students overcome sensory input needs to manage stress and access the curriculum. These students have not experienced a regular school year for two years. Due to COVID-19, some of my students were unable to experience a preschool setting. They are missing crucial social and emotional and problem-solving skills which can hinder academic development and peer relationships. These breathing balls, pop fidget toys and other resources will alleviate sensory related stressors and allow students to more readily access their grade level academic content and build problem solving and relationship skills.
