It is quite challenging teaching students at home and in the classroom with only a single desktop computer and camera. Those at home have been unable to see anything that I project or any hands-on activities and experiments we do in every class. One portable Chromebook with a camera would allow them to observe everything and interact with their peers easier.
In addition, the many resources would help my students learn Nevada Academic Content Standards related to life and earth sciences, as well as the NGSS for Engineering Design and Science and Engineering Practices, and Crosscutting Concepts. (ie: CCC 1-7; SEP 1-8; 3-LS2-1, 3-LS4-1-4; 4-LS1-1 & 2; 5-PS3-1, 5-LS1-1, 5-LS2-1) We also write in many forms to show growth toward our Student Learning Goal of producing clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.
