By donating to our project, help to provide much-needed social and emotional interactions and connections for our students who have been learning from a distance for over a year. The items requested will help boost our student's focus such as seats will provide an opportunity for our students to practice staying in their seats. It will boost the development of self-regulation skills. Educational small group activities and games can create situations in which not everyone gets what they want (Standards: SL.4.1a, SL.4.1b, SS.3.1, SS.4.1, SL.5.1b, SL.5.1c). Providing natural opportunities to connect and communicate with others helps to boost our student's confidence and friendship with their peers. As a virtual and in-person teacher now, I have learned that providing students with adequate and exciting learning material is imperative to our student's continuation of learning. The original copies of the journals will be provided to our students and they will have their own copies. Interactive books such as flipbooks, phonics daily interactive journals will provide my students an opportunity to work independently at their own learning level (Standards: RF.2.3, RF.2.3a, RF.2.4 RL.2.1, RF.3.3, RL.3.1, RL. 4.1, RF.4.3, RF.4.3a, W.4.3, W.4.3a, W.4.4)
