Students will make connections to their community by creating products that represent our city. The topics students will be exploring are population, cultural landscape of the city, political systems, economics and business, trade networks, and city planning.
Students will be comparing our city to other communities around the world and creating an artifact that represents the unique characteristics of Las Vegas. Students will focus on issues of sustainability as our city is located in the Mojave Desert so we have to be concerned with water use and future availability. The students will also examine the UN Sustainable Development Goals and suggest a possible solution to one of the goals.
