This project will consist of emerging the students into a mythology unit designed to build their interest in reading and learning. Students will compare and contrast the Percy Jackson novel with the graphic novel.
The printer will assist in bringing these activities to life with color. The sublimation printer will allow us to have the learning become a reality by outfitting the students with their own Camp Half-Blood t-shirts. These activities will build social and emotional relationships with their peers.
The reading standards include RL.4.4 which students must identify words and phrases and identify characters in mythology. Additionally, these projects will increase their vocabulary to use Greek and Latin affixes as clues to understand unknown words. Lastly, the activities the students will create will enhance their speaking and listening skills while presenting.
