These books and bean bags will continue to enhance the Social Emotional Learning for our students school-wide. It will also enhance the comfortability of the students during the SEL lessons. My classroom is a place where students enjoy coming in and discussing their feelings-I sit side by side with them and listen to what they have to say and we will then sometimes write our feelings down to help us feel better. Every student is thankful for the opportunity to be able to speak to me when they are feeling down. All of these items have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched in the past few weeks of school how they are more comfortable sitting on the floor instead of the chairs to converse. I have asked them previous what would make them feel more comfortable to speak to me in the room, they mentioned BEAN BAGS.. Students will be able to sit in the bean bag take time to themselves and then have a moment to speak with me and get their feelings out.
With these bean bags, my students will be able to sit comfortably, relax and focus on their feelings and emotions at that time.
They will also be able to relax and be in a comfortable space that will help them open up about their feelings. The best way to increase an individual to open up about their emotions and feelings is to be comfortable and build a positive rapport with an individual. The SEL books will continue to help my students and myself grow stronger in understanding SEL and the importance of it. My students already have shown interest in Social Emotional Learning and how to help their peers, so this project will only help enrich their experiences at school and
