When it comes to mathematics, no two students learn exactly the same way. In my classroom, the ability to have multi-levels of learning is important. Items on my list are tools that I would use in my tool chest to assist with that.
If a child comes into my classroom, no matter the environment that they are coming from, I want to have a supportive and collaborative environment for them to thrive in.
For example, if the lesson of the day is on slope, I would like for my students to have whiteboards, expo markers, and more so that they can draw out the slope to assist with their visual comprehension. If we are learning a multi-level concept such as multi-step equations, I want the students to have colorful foldables that they can reference back to step-by-step. These are some examples of activities I do in my classroom.
