The use of an iPad will help my students to perform labs, experiment, and STEM projects that will assist them to capture, collect and analyze data in a faster and easy way. For example, students can use Augmented Science Reality Apps such as Mobile Science Site available in iOS 13, iPadOS will help them explore the Periodic Table of Elements and atomic and molecular structure. The use of an iPad will also allow them to build and manipulate 3D molecules for both organic and inorganic chemistry. Atomic structure is common to both Chemistry and Geoscience class specially when we talk about spectral lines in relation to the color of stars in Geoscience and atomic spectra in Chemistry.
This tool will also help my students to become analytical, critical, and creative thinkers as they explore its useful features such as thermo sensor when taking temperatures and camera when taking pictures to collect data such when studying rocks and minerals.
The use of an iPad will also augment my students learning by creating IMovie that summarizes what they have learn in a most engaging way which supports NVACS Standards [HS-PS1-1, HS-PS1-2], [HS-PS1-8] etc. I hope that I can get funded so I can better support my student's learning of science in sophisticated way and satisfy their thirst and eagerness in learning.
