The materials that I have chosen for my project include fraction bars, multiplication and division skills boards, ELA materials that specifically target key details, text features, character traits, and main idea, as well as practice books.
Access to hands-on materials will boost my student's motivation and determination to an even higher level. During COVID-19 many students and families did not have access to hands-on materials that help improve learning. The materials I have chosen specifically focus on that hands-on element.
I also took into consideration students that may have fallen behind or got lost in the mix of COVID-19. I have also selected materials (specifically phonics) for students to be able to catch up to their peers in reading by grade 3.
