My students will be able to have a quiet space to read independently, rather than sitting on the hard linoleum floor. It will support the rest of my flexible seating furniture in the classroom and create an area where they can be focused Sandvick Scholars in comfort. By creating a designated space in the room for reading, it will allow them to continue to foster a love of reading and encourage others that may not have the love for reading yet. A rug will help my students to be motivated to access all types of text, including our culturally responsive books.
