Having students participate in our drama club allows for each student to develop a rich foundation in literature and allows our students to engage with works of literature. Being actors in the play, students are involved in discussions that range include aspects of the theme, tone, mood, inference, plot, and structures of the play. Being able to obtain the background aspects of the play; costumes, props, and equipment, are the icing on the cake to make this student enrichment activity an accomplishment that the students will remember for a lifetime. In keeping with Common Core Standards please reference RL 5.5 and RL 5.6 as these two standards encompass the activities that align with our school's drama club.
