Our students all get their own iPads at the beginning of the school year. They use these throughout the year for assessments as well as activities to help support skills that they are already learning in class. A small group of students will use their iPads at a time and it can get very noisy in the classroom and be hard for those students to focus on their work. By giving each student headphones they will be able to better engage in the work they are doing.
I want to provide my students with tools to help them be able to focus and do their best work. I also want to give each student a stylus to use at school and a stylus to take home. When complete work on their iPad they have to write with their finger, but by adding a stylus they get continued practice of holding a writing utensil and focusing on correct letter formation. This will help them with fine motor skills as well as their handwriting skills and I am excited to see how adding this tool improves their work!
