Our students are limited in their activities during recess because of the pandemic and the associated safety precautions. One precaution our school has had to implement is shutting down the playground structures due to the limited time between grade levels' recess and the ability to properly sanitize in-between. This has led to the offering of more supplemental equipment, like balls and jump ropes, that can be rotated and sanitized.
Recess is such an important part of the students' learning day, allowing them to decompress and emotionally prepare for their continued learning. Recess also gives the students important social skills and training while interacting with the staff and their classmates.
The problem we have been facing is that we do not have easy storage or transport devices for this equipment near the playground. These storage sheds would provide quick and easy access for the kids to begin playing. They will also allow us to have a rotation system between grade levels for properly sanitizing the equipment.
