Students will learn about the differences between fine art and illustration. These materials will provide an opportunity for students to experience one of the oldest forms of creating illustration by using etching as printmaking. The project is student led and inspired by fairy tale classics with a twist on how the student will reinterpret the imagery. With scribes and etching plates, students will be able to apply texture to illustrations that are not always achieved through other types of 2D art. My students are passionate about learning new ways to showcase their ideas through a variety of media!
