Students will use the charging cart, headphones, mice, and whiteboards to effectively use the technology we have as a 1:1 classroom. Over the last 18 months I began using new online resources and updating older teaching methods to help my students learn at home. Now that students are back in person, we are still using many new web-based resources. These new resources allow students to work at individual levels, maximizing their engagement and ability to learn and grow.
In order to use these online resources, my students need a proper place for charging their devices. They need headphones to hear and at the same time to allow others to focus. My students need a mouse to help them interact and navigate the online programs. Often times they need to drag and drop on their computers, but using a built in mouse pad makes this task difficult for learners who struggle with fine-motor skills. They also need whiteboards to show their thinking. We use whiteboards in all subject areas. Students use them to write words or solve math problems. These items are things we use every single day to learn.
