The pandemic has had a toll on the way my students feel every morning as they attend in-person school. After a full year of remote instruction, my students are learning what is like to attend school in person. Social-emotional lessons allow them to learn skills to cope with their feelings and safe ways to express themselves. My students look forward to our social-emotional learning lessons because I present them through art and books. I would love to give them an opportunity to experience being artists with mediums other than crayons and paper.
