I am requesting this laptop to support my efforts outside of school time. I will attend online trainings, professional development classes, and licensing requirements outside of school hours. At this time to attend, I am using my phone. Attending classes continues my understanding of student learning and improves how I teach Social Emotional Learning.
One of the various online learning opportunities I will utilize this resource for is several online social-emotional training to help students engage with their peers, staff, and community.
Along with professional development classes, I would utilize this laptop at home to input data into our online documentation program and also use this data to create presentations for staff development day. This technology would enhance my ability to enter data quicker and look at reports of the needs of our students for 5 competencies (CASEL). Creating social-emotional learning lesson plans for our students is detrimental to their success outside of Miley.
Without the requested resource, I will have a challenge attending online training offered after school and making lessons according to our students' needs.
