Having access to a new Apple iPad, Apple Pencil, and Beats earphones will be very beneficial to my classroom. We will use these tools to ensure a safe and healthy, in-person learning environment and help students who need access to distance education.
I will use the iPad to be more mobile in the classroom and keep the virtual students who are at home feeling involved and part of the in-person classroom. The features are great for keeping students engaged and active in the lessons. One of the ways I will be able to use the iPad and accessories is that it gives me the ability to display what we are working on from anywhere in the room. This allows me to be actively moving around to give the students more specific feedback and instruction. One of the best things about the iPad technology is that it will help my students throughout this year of pandemic learning and years to come.
Also, my students will be using the iPad and accessories to create videos and projects. Students this age love to create new content on social platforms, and often can demonstrate their learning of the Nevada Academic Content Standards with creative student-made videos. By donating to this project you'll be helping students learn how to show their understanding in another way than just a boring test or essay. I want to help them access their creative side.
I love to use lessons that show students how to use technology in ways that isn't only gaming! What better way to help prepare the students for college and career readiness, than showing them new ways to use technology.
