The headphones are for the dozens of students working on self-paced coursework to catch-up on missing credits for graduation. Most of the classes contain multiple videos to present content. When there are over 35 students in one room, all watching different content, headphones are essential for individual focus and achievement, rather than having to rely on reading transcripts. Actually hearing the narration of lessons and videos will enhance the experience for various types of learners.
The tablet and Apple Pencil will allow students to demonstrate math concepts that are nearly impossible to translate to a keyboard only environment. Peer created videos designed to assist other students with topics may reach some students that the teacher content misses. Further, these videos can be shared with students that are required to participate in remote learning for various reasons (illness, quarantine, behavior issues, etc.)
