As a dual subject educator and coach, this iPad will allow me to give my weight training students access to see video recordings of their form and technique with the goal of allowing them to perform their lifts as safely as possible and correcting with feedback. I want my students to reach their maximum potential on a strength and conditioning basis. I will be able to show the students their lifting abilities and they will be provided the opportunity to increase their metacognition which will align with NEPF instructional standards 3, 4 and 5. This iPad also allows students to reach Physical Education NVACS 1.12.1;1.12.3; 1.12.4; 2.12.1; 2.12.2; 2.12.3; 4.12.1;4.12.2.
The future of our economy and government lies in the hands of my students. In addition to weight training, I would also be able to use this iPad to assist with my Civics and Economy classes. I would be able to share student work with students and families quickly and efficiently in our Google Classrooms. When the pandemic first hit and the need for remote learning became essential, I became extremely aware of the need for additional technological resources. I can use an iPad to assign work or check student work while being mobile in my classroom rather than being confined behind my desk. This will align to NVACS by giving me instantaneous access to resources that align to various topics covered in SS.9-12.CE.1-53.
This project will allow my students even more opportunities to grow and become exceptional citizens within our society in athletics, civics, and economics. This will also help me improve on my teacher evaluation observation cycle this school year by incorporating more technology into my teaching as suggested during my last observation.
